How were the members of the Quality Commission chosen and who are they composed of?

 Şırnak University has initiated institutional self-assessment efforts to determine its current situation and to develop effective strategies with strong policies and goals for the future. Initially, Şırnak University Academic Evaluation and Quality Improvement Board (ADEK) was established to analyze the past and present of the university and to set goals and policies for the future.  All the main principles have been set regarding the evaluation of Şırnak University's education, training and research activities and administrative services, development and maintenance of quality, approval, and recognition of quality levels by preparing for the independent external evaluation process.

The institution regularly reviews and regards its mission, vision, and goals regarding all units. A "Quality Commission" have been established and "Quality Assurance Unit Representatives" have been chosen to conduct internal and external evaluations and to ensure and maintain quality strategies in all processes. The commission is chaired by the rector and in his/her absence by the relevant vice-rector. The commission is composed of experienced members from different fields of science and representing different faculties or units determined by the university senate and among those who have previously worked on quality. These members will serve for three years, and their terms can be extended by a decision of the Senate. The Secretary General of the University and the Director of Strategy Development are natural members of the commission. The student representative in the Commission is elected by the Senate. The Senate annually renews their term of office. The Commission consists of the chairperson, members appointed by the senate, natural members, and the student representative. The commission has established the sub-working groups and allocated tasks. The coordinators elected within the sub-working groups meet regularly in the process of collecting and reporting the data in the relevant field and continue their activities within the confines of the directive.
